Today's comic is a little off. A Pi Water filter will run you around $580.

Comic Chameleon is an iOS webcomic reading app. While there's plenty of comic aggregators for phones, Comic Chameleon actually (gasp) has the permission of the featured creators and will be supporting them financially. I'm pleased to say that we're part of the launch lineup.

The app will be going into a public beta this week, so you can watch their Twitter feed for more information.

Got a couple things I want to mention for your attention if I may!

First up, Matt and I will be doing a few panels and running a table at Animation on Display next month. Take a look at their site for details on times and place. As per usual, we'll be mostly schlepping around shooting the shit. Feel free to swing by and say hello and check out the other nifty things going on.

Next, friend of the site, Cliff Hicks, has released his first book, Escaping Heaven. I've gotten the pleasure of reading quite a few of Cliff's works and I'm quite eager to share the first one he's made public with the rest of you. There's also a change he'll be at AoD as well, so if you like what he's done and will be in the area, why not try for a signature?

Another anniversary, another portrait for my wife. This year's topic; Guild Wars 2. We shared a good amount of time playing that together, and since I already did a Spiral Knights one, it seemed like the right call... Otherwise it would have been two variants of Shepard looking all pissy.

Here we have my Asura elementalist and her Human engineer. We get killed alot...

Years of being a game's artist has left me thinking completely in T-poses and the like... I fear I'll never get my legs back for drawing dynamic poses again. As a result, these two serious duders, are rather rigid.

I guess I should save my worry for if I ever can look at my work and see no flaws.

To see a larger res version check over here.

I complain about the lack of art fundamentals at my art school a lot. But at least I left with skills with my degree.

However, I can empathize with the rage this guy must feel against his old school. Still, funny as hell.

Hey, you should check this game out. It's pretty brilliant!

Try to avoid reading the comments unless you're feeling stuck.

The new XCOM game uses some kind of abstracted currency, so it isn't really "bucks" that you're getting in exchange. Still, it's a big difference from the first game where you could fund your entire operation by selling alien corpses to wealthy perverts. (That's always where I assumed they were going.)
